The Moonta Collective, a love letter to South Australia
I saw The Moonta Collective for sale on Instagram and completely lost my mind. In the best possible way. I'm Jacqui Nelligan, proud South Aussie, co-founder of Unseasoned Greetings, and the person who followed her gut from Adelaide to the Copper Coast and never looked back. This is the story of how a little yellow-doored shop in Moonta became my whole heart.

RUWI Skincare has landed at The Moonta Collective... and your nighttime ritual is about to change
Let's be honest. Most of us wash our face in a bit of a rush at the end of the day, slap on whatever's in reach, and call it done. It works. Kind of. But it doesn't exactly feel like anything. That's what RUWI is changing for us, and we think it'll change it for you too. RUWI (pronounced roo-wee) means "land" in the Ngarrindjeri language of South Australia. It's an Indigenous-owned skincare brand rooted in Country, culture and native botanicals that First Nations Australians have been using for over 80,000 years. And it has just arrived at The Moonta Collective. The formulas are genuinely beautiful. Thoughtful, effective and proudly South Australian. If you're on the Yorke Peninsula looking for skincare that actually does something, this is it. Here's what the ceremony looks like. Step one: Finger Lime Cleanser ($48) Think of this like a micellar water, but actually good. You swipe it on with a cotton pad, it lifts away the day, and your skin feels genuinely clean without that stripped-back tightness that most cleansers leave behind. Native finger lime brings natural AHAs to the party, which means gentle cell renewal and real brightness over time. Macadamia oil keeps things hydrated. The whole thing takes about 30 seconds and your face feels noticeably fresher immediately. Honestly, this step alone might convert you. Use daily, morning and night. Apply to a cotton pad and swipe over skin. Step two: Quandong Scrub $54 Use it a couple of times a week and the difference is noticeable. Skin feels softer and cleaner, and if you wear makeup, it sits so much better afterwards. The Quandong Scrub exfoliates without going too hard. It removes dead skin and impurities without stripping your natural oils or wrecking your moisture barrier. Quandong is an Aboriginal botanical that's been used for centuries, rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Add vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, Davidson plum, Australian pineapple myrtle and macadamia oil, and you've got a scrub that's genuinely nourishing, not just abrasive. What actually happens to your skin: Texture gets smoother from the first use That flat, dull look lifts pretty quickly Redness and puffiness calm down over time Makeup sits better and lasts longer Everything you apply afterwards absorbs more effectively Use 2 to 3 times a week after cleansing. Massage gently for a few minutes, then rinse. Step three: Kakadu Plum Serum $62 The hero of the range. Full stop. Kakadu Plum is one of the most vitamin C-rich fruits on the planet, and this serum delivers a concentrated dose of it straight to your skin. Brighter tone, more even complexion, active skin cell renewal while you sleep. It's doing a lot. But it doesn't stop there. Tasmanian kelp, snowflower and yerba mate round out the botanicals, and then there's hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and panthenol on top, so you're hydrating, strengthening your barrier and supporting skin repair all in one step. If you're dealing with pigmentation, uneven tone, fine lines, or skin that just looks tired, this is your answer. Three drops. Press it in. Go to sleep. Wake up and notice. Apply 3 drops each night, focusing especially beneath the eyes. Let it absorb fully before moisturiser. Step four: Dreaming Moisturiser $56 The one that brings it all together. The Dreaming Moisturiser is named for creation time, a cornerstone of Aboriginal culture, and the formula matches the name. Manuka honey, camellia oil, niacinamide, squalene and hydrolysed silk protein. It's deeply hydrating without being heavy, and it seals in everything you've applied underneath. By morning, your skin feels calm, soft and genuinely looked after. Not just coated in something. Actually nourished. Ceremony complete. Use morning and night after your serum. Why RUWI feels different from everything else There are a lot of brands that call themselves natural. RUWI actually is rooted in 80,000 years of Indigenous knowledge, with South Australian botanicals at the core of every formula. But it also performs. Vitamin C brightness. Barrier repair from niacinamide. Lasting hydration from hyaluronic acid and squalene. Gentle renewal from natural AHAs. Real results you can see. When something has meaning and actually works... that's a product worth making room for. We're really glad to have it at The Moonta Collective. Ready to start your ceremony? The four products are beautiful on their own. But if you want to try the full routine in one go, the Ruwi Introductory Bundle has all four together at $176, saving you $44 on the individual prices. Either way, The Relaxation Edit is here to help you (or someone you love) chill right out. From self-warming eye masks to cheeky bath salts, this collection is basically a hug in gift form. Time to unwind Let’s start with the Lula self-warming eye masks — the hero of any relaxation routine. They heat up gently as you rest, melting away screen fatigue and stress. Vanilla for sweet comfort, jasmine for calm, rose for romance, lavender for sleepy vibes, or unscented if you like to keep things simple. Pop one on, close your eyes, and let the world wait. Pair it with Lula Calm Mist or Calm Balm — a dreamy duo that says “deep breath” without words. The mist settles your space, the balm softens the edges of your day.Tension? Meet your match We hold more tension in our faces than we realise. Enter the Gua Sha. Whether you choose the green jade or rose quartz, these smooth stones glide over the skin and help work out all those tiny tight spots. Team it with a beautiful face oil for that spa-at-home glow... it’s the kind of present people don’t buy for themselves but absolutely love receiving. Bath or shower... your call Mini bath bombs, handmade suave soaps, and the ever-cheeky Salty Vibes bath salts. Choose your mood: chill the f**k out or leave me the f**k alone. (Honestly... both sound right.) If you’re more of a shower person, grab a few shower steamers. They fill the air with gentle essential oil clouds while you wash off the day. Light it up A Fallow & Fox candle adds the finishing touch. Go for bergamot and rose for something fresh and floral, or white patchouli and musk if you love a cosy, grounding scent.
