I'm going to be upfront with you: I wrote this one for myself as much as anyone.
Two kids, my own business, and a to-do list that somehow gets longer the more I cross off. I know sleep matters. I've read enough about cortisol and nervous systems and the importance of rest to know that I should be prioritising it. And yet there I am at 10:30pm, still finishing things, still thinking about tomorrow, lying in bed with my brain running a debrief of the entire day.
Sound familiar?
This is my little guide to getting the sleep you deserve. Not a lecture. Not a 47-step bedtime routine. Just some genuinely lovely products that make winding down feel less like a chore and more like something you'd actually look forward to...and that also happen to make brilliant gifts for the woman in your life who needs it most.
Everything below is available at The Moonta Collective, in store and online. Most of it is under $30. All of it is the kind of thing she probably wouldn't buy for herself.
The evening shower is often the one moment in the day that's just yours. No one asking you anything. No notifications. These make the most of it.
The Wild Emery Go The Fk To Sleep Shower Steamer 3 Pack ($19.95) made me laugh the second I saw the name, and then I tried one and it genuinely delivered. Sleep, Sinus, and Quiet steamers, infused with essential oils that turn a regular shower into something that actually feels like the start of switching off. Pop one on the ledge, let the steam do the work, and feel the day start to lift. Cheeky name. Brilliant product.
The Girl You Look Like You Need a Nap 3 Pack ($19.95) is the one to give to the friend who would snort-laugh at the packaging and then use every single one within a week. If she's been running on empty and needs someone to say it out loud...well, now the shower steamer can do it for you. Both packs are under $20 and make a great add-on to anything else on this list.
Scent is one of the fastest ways to shift your state, and spritzing your pillow before bed is one of those tiny habits that (when you do it consistently) actually starts to work. Your brain learns to associate that smell with sleep. It sounds too simple to be real, but here we are.
The Lula Sleep Mist ($28.00) is Australian made, COSMOS certified natural, and blended with lavender, chamomile, and vetiver. A few sprays on your pillow and you're done. It's the kind of small thing that makes bedtime feel intentional rather than just collapsing.
The Euclove Linen Spray is actually one I use every single week. On my reset day when I change the sheets, I spray the mattress and pillows before I make the bed and I swear it makes a difference to how I sleep that night. There's something about fresh sheets and a bedroom that smells calm that just tells your body it's safe to switch off. It's become such a non-negotiable part of my week that I'd genuinely notice if I ran out.

These are the ones I'm most enthusiastic about, because they turn the last few minutes before sleep into a small act of care rather than just lying there waiting to switch off.
The Lula Sleep Balm ($30.00) is a pocket-sized COSMOS certified balm with lavender, chamomile, vetiver, clary sage, and sweet orange in an organic beeswax base. Australian made, cruelty free, and genuinely lovely to use... which matters, because that's what makes it a habit rather than a good intention sitting in a drawer.
The Summer Salt Body Sleep Essential Oil Roller ($29.50) is a beautiful 10ml roller with amethyst crystals and a blend of lavender, bergamot, mandarin, lemon, cedarwood, and chamomile. Roll it onto your wrists and temples before lights out. The amethyst rollerball and gold shimmer make it feel like a little luxury, and honestly, after the day most of us have had? That's exactly the point.
This one is for the woman who loves the idea of a proper skincare routine but currently doesn't have the bandwidth for more than one step. This is your one step.
The Naked Tallow Sleepytime Cream ($48.00) is a deeply nourishing tallow-based body cream made from grass-fed and finished tallow, organic jojoba oil, lavender, Roman chamomile, and sweet orange essential oils. It hydrates and supports the skin barrier overnight while the scent blend quietly works on your nervous system at the same time.
No synthetics, no nasties. Just something rich and natural that makes getting into bed feel like something you've earned... because you have!

My personal favourite on this list, and the one I keep coming back to. There is something about making a cup of tea...an actual cup of tea, not scrolling, not finishing one more email, that signals to your whole body that the day is done.
The Brewed By Belinda Blackout Herbal Tea ($27.50) was hand-blended right here in South Australia for exactly this purpose. Organic chamomile, peppermint, lemon verbena, valerian root, lavender, hops, passionflower...all of the good stuff. It's fragrant and warming and genuinely lovely to drink, and it feels like a proper act of self-care even when you've only got ten minutes to spare.
Also one of the best standalone gifts on this list. Beautiful enough to feel special, useful enough to reach for every night.

You don't need all of these. Even one or two, used with some consistency, can genuinely shift how you sleep. But if you want to put something together for someone who deserves a bit of looking after, here are a few combinations that work beautifully:
The easy start
Blackout Tea + a shower steamer pack. Simple, thoughtful, under $50.
The bedside ritual
Sleep Mist + Sleep Balm or Sleep Roller. Everything needed to make the last ten minutes of the day feel intentional.
The full treat
Sleepytime Tallow Cream + Sleep Roller + Blackout Tea. For the woman who really, genuinely needs someone to tell her she's allowed to rest.
Everything is available in store and online at The Moonta Collective. If you'd like help putting something together, just ask...we love this kind of thing!
